GlobalConnect Group recruits new Head of Sustainability

Kristian Uldall, 30, has been appointed as new Head of Sustainability at GlobalConnect Group. He comes from a position as Strategy Manager in the Nordic digital infrastructure and connectivity provider and will in his new role further accelerate the group’s strategic sustainability work.

GlobalConnect carries more than half of all data traffic in and out of the Nordics in its 235,000 kilometer fiber network and data centers across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, northern Germany, and Finland.

Here, Kristian Uldall will play a crucial role in the intersection of strategy, business, and sustainability, so we ensure that ambitions continue to result in actions that truly impact our carbon footprint," says Sofia Lisa Dinesen, SVP Group Strategy & ESG.

Kristian Uldall looks forward to continuing and developing GlobalConnect's ambitious work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the supply chain as part of the global Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), to develop more solutions to support customers' sustainability journeys, and to identify and implement new initiatives across the organisation, which has approximately 2,000 employees.

"My most important task is to ensure that we constantly focus on minimising our climate footprint and on creating a positive change across our value chain. When we further accelerate our work with sustainability, it benefits society as a whole but especially our customers, as we support them in their climate goals," says Kristian Uldall.

Despite his young age, Uldall has already held several positions in strategy and sustainability at Rambøll before his time at GlobalConnect Group, including as Associate Manager, Strategic Sustainability Consulting.
