GlobalConnect Group hires experienced Director of Communications and Public Affairs

Nordic digital infrastructure and connectivity provider GlobalConnect Group has appointed Rikke Juul Rokkedal Therkildsen as new Director of Communications and Public Affairs.

More than half of the Nordics’ data traffic flows through GlobalConnect's infrastructure consisting of data centers and 235,000 km fiber network across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Northern Germany. In her new role, Rikke Juul Rokkedal Therkildsen will have the overall responsibility for strengthening awareness of the group's critical role in society and building a position that supports the business and strategy.

Rikke Juul Rokkedal Therkildsen comes with solid experience from the industry, most recently from a position as Director of Communications and ESG at Telenor Denmark. Prior to that, she was Head of Press and Communications at 3.

GlobalConnect's critical role in society has been crucial for the new communications director, combined with the group’s growth journey which is backed by purpose-driven global investment organization EQT.

She holds an MSc Communications degree from Roskilde University in 2006 and will start her new role on October 1, 2024.
