GlobalConnect appoints new Head of Security Services
Søren Gjevert Petersen has been appointed Head of Security Services at GlobalConnect, a newly established role responsible for the company's security solutions for business customers.
For Søren Gjevert Petersen, this marks a return to GlobalConnect, where he previously held the title Head of Security for Denmark and Germany.
This marks a return to GlobalConnect for Søren, who previously served as Head of Security for the company’s operations in Denmark and Germany. Most recently, he held the position of Head of Security at the IT company Aeven. In his new role, he transitions from protecting GlobalConnect’s infrastructure to taking overall responsibility for unifying and developing the group’s security solutions and advisory services — with the goal of strengthening protection for all 30,000 business customers.
“I have a good understanding of what is important for our customers security managers because I have held the same role myself. I now bring that experience into my new position, both in advising customers and in ensuring that GlobalConnect’s portfolio of security solutions matches both the threat landscape and current challenges. Many large organizations are currently working to ensure that their IT infrastructure complies with the EU’s new NIS 2 directive - a process I have been deeply involved in,” says Søren Gjevert Petersen.
Security is an integral part of GlobalConnect's services — from network solutions to cloud services. In his role, Søren will be responsible for the security of the company's products as well as coordinating security solutions on the market, enabling GlobalConnect to better meet the overall needs of its customers.
With over 20 years of experience in IT and security roles, Søren has a solid background. Prior to his previous tenure at GlobalConnect, he served as Head of Security within the Telia Group. Søren assumed his new role on November 1.
